We all understand how bank accounts work. Money either accumulates by saving more than you spend, decreases by spending more than you save, or stays the same by spending and saving at the same rate. It’s a pretty simple concept.
What if we turn it from a monetary value into a health value. Your Health Bank Account.
Now imagine that you have 4 separate bank accounts. These 4 accounts combine to determine your overall health. At SPC we break health into physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pillars or accounts for this example. Treat each of these different areas of health as 4 different bank accounts that combine to create your overall wealth (health).
It is important to track your progress and balance for each account. Your health account balance either grows or decreases by the choices you make and actions you take on a daily basis. If you burn more than you grow, the account balance will diminish and your overall health will decrease. Make sure at the end of the day you have contributed more wealth to each of your health accounts so that you improve your health.
Ultimately, health does not boil down to one decision. Health is the combination of the many decisions you make throughout the day. By thinking of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual areas of your health as bank accounts, it will help you to keep track of your health. It’s okay if you slip up in one area as long as you make up for it in another area. What does your health savings account balance sit at daily? Does it grow or does it dwindle?
Check your balance every day in these 4 areas to make sure that you’re staying on track for a STRONGER Wealthier HEALTH!
